We Rise has acquired ten abandoned, dilapidated row houses and vacant lots in the Broadway East neighborhood of East Baltimore to refurbish and revitalize.

The homes, largely built in the 1920s have sat vacant and in various stages of dilapidation for over a decade.

Each an eyesore for the community that tends to attract unfortunate attention and often act as locations where criminal activity is conducted, We Rise seeks to revitalize the community and eliminate blight by updating these homes and offering them for resale at an affordable price.

Each home will be completely demolished and rebuilt with the goal of historical preservation of the brick used in the structures where possible. The homes will include underpinning - with a well structured below ground space built to increase space - and will also be energy efficient and designed for family living.

The homes are expected to resale for about $165,000 in order to provide affordable home ownership opportunities to community residents.
